The learning field Physical, Mathematical, Computer and Life Sciences has become a popular stream for learners to follow, especially for those intending to follow a career in Medicine or Science related subjects.
Physical Science and Life Science are consequently popular subjects on the B list within that learning field.
These subjects work along the principle of building blocks, where each section is linked to following section and is often its foundation.
Because this "linking" goes on all the way through the Science syllabi, where a learner is unable to grasp the concepts of one particular section, a snowball effect can develop in following sections that are dependent on the first. This frequently affects the learner's accomplishment in the later sections in a critical way. This is one of the reasons why many learners struggle with science subjects. However, all is not lost.
Because our Science tutors are familiar with the entire syllabus from start to finish, they are able to identify what basic sections the learner is having problems with. They clarify the concepts from the initial building blocks and any of the subsequent sections that are not understood. This is something that can easily be done by a tutor, but is very difficult to accomplish in the classroom.
