Learners taking the final FETC Examination at school are required to do seven subjects, four of which are compulsory. One of the compulsory subjects is Mathematics or Mathematical Literacy.
Math is a subject that has always given problems for some learners at school, yet it is the one subject that every one of us needs in everyday life.
Not every learner can cope with certain elements of Math, and this is why more and more learners drop from Core Math to Math Literacy. The fact that Math is a compulsory subject means that classes are always filled to capacity, making the Math teacher's job all the more difficult, especially when it comes to giving individual attention to those learners that need it.
When you add to this the fact that some 5% of all learners have a learning disability that is specific to Math, it becomes evident that a great many learners are going to need some form of extra tuition.
All of Hire Education's Math tutors are highly trained and assessed. When your child takes extra Math lessons, the first thing that we do is to look at the problems he or she is having and then assess the best way of correcting them.
This we do during the first three sessions. After that we will give you regular, comprehensive feedback and answer any questions that you might have regarding your child's progress.
