School Lessons

Many parents may have the wrong impression about extra school lessons. Let us try to explain how they work.

At each grade level there is a syllabus laid down of what work must be undertaken for a particular subject during the year. The syllabus is not flexible, and the end of the year exams are based on what should have been taught. The syllabus in a particular subject is usually such that when taught thoroughly little time remains during school lessons for giving individual learners the attention that they often require. The National Curriculum recommends what percentage of school lessons should be given to a particular subject. Naturally each teacher’s ability is not identical, and it sometimes occurs that one or more learners may fall behind in a particular subject. This may not be the learner’s fault and it may not be the teacher’s fault, but merely an accumulation of circumstances, the result of which leaves a learner needing extra tuition in that subject.

Hire Education was founded in order to provide extra school lessons for learners who have fallen foul of these circumstances, and also for learners who may have fallen behind for a number of other reasons.

Our tuition is not there to replace school lessons , but rather as an additional support to what is being tuaght in class. We offer a three lesson introductory package of tuition during which we evaluate a learner’s problems and will make recommendations as to the best course of action. Our tutors will travel to your choice of venue at a mutually agreed time. Contact us for more information on booking a tutor to suit your needs.
