After School Tutoring
Imagine two teachers with exactly the same knowledge and ability, and the only difference is that one is teaching a single learner. Surely, a learner being taught on a one-on-one basis will achieve a higher average mark than one who is being taught in a classroom with thirty-five or forty learners? The reasons are obvious. Unfortunately South African schools have relatively large numbers of learners in their classes. The inevitable result is that there are many learners who suffer, because it is just not possible for a teacher to be able to give each learner the individual attention that he or she needs.
The answer to this conundrum is after school tutoring. Hire Education was founded in order to attempt to remedy the situation wherever possible. We specialize in after school tutoring in specific subjects at high school level and across the board at primary school level.
When Hire Education takes on a new learner the first three one-on-one lessons are spent in having the tutor assess the learner’s ability in the specific subject, and where his or her weak points are. We then give you, the parent, comprehensive feedback on the learner’s comprehension, confidence, problem areas, goals and levels of effort. You get a written assessment with recommendations as to the future direction after school tutoring should take. We believe in communication, and for each learner who is taking after school tutoring there will be communication between learners, parents, Hire Education and our tutors.
