Subject Tuition
Hire Education provides two different types of tuition service, Preparatory tuition and Subject tuition, which are aimed at primary school learners and high school learners respectively. The Subject tuition tutors are able to help high school learners in specific subjects. If your child is in Grades 8 to 12 and you feel that he or she may be falling behind or is not coping with a particular subject, you should discuss the situation with us.
All of our subject tuition starts off with three introductory lessons, in which are our tutors are able to assess why an individual learner is having difficulty with a particular subject at school. Our Subject Tutors address the situation by acting as a mentor and adapting his or her teaching technique accordingly so that it best benefits the learner and the situation in question.
This introductory course of three lessons at the start of subject tuition enables our tutor to plan the best course of action for following lessons. Having estimated your child’s aptitude and ability during these three one on one sessions in a particular subject, we will be then be able to give you feedback and to suggest a suitable course of action to you.
One on one subject tuition is carried out in a completely different dynamic from classroom teaching. In the classroom a teacher is restricted to teaching what has been planned for during that lesson and by the time constraints imposed by the subject syllabus. One on one tuition gives the tutor so much more flexibility in teaching an individual subject. Our Subject Tutors are not restricted to any one part of a syllabus and are able to fill in gaps from the past as well as consolidating present work covered and prepare the high school learner for exams.
