Hire Education CC was established in 2003 after our founder had identified an opportunity to offer individual tuition to learners when and where it best suited them. Whatever the school, there are always pupils who need that little bit of extra attention to help them with one or more subjects. This is completely inevitable with the numbers of pupils in our classes in this country; almost double that in some countries. The CC hired its first additional weekend tutor in the first year, and this number has continued to expand up to our present numbers of over 150. We specialise in providing after-school and weekend tutors for those learners who need that little extra tuition and presently operate in Johannesburg and Pretoria and will be opening in Cape Town in 2009. Many pupils already take extra lessons, usually from their own teacher in a particular subject. In some of these cases where the problem has arisen because of a lack of individual attention in the classroom dynamic, the problem may only be exacerbated by doing group extra lessons after school with that teacher.
All of the after-school and weekend tutors on our books are professional undergraduates and graduates who have each undergone intensive training and assessment as set out by ourselves. We initially select them for the academic excellence they have shown both at high school and at university. Our tuition services range from Grade 1 through 12, and all primary and high school subjects are covered, including Maths, Add Maths, Science, Biology, Accounting, English, Afrikaans, History and Geography.
