Afrikaans Lessons

Some people have a natural ability with foreign languages, but they are the exception rather than the rule. There are plenty of learners who find Afrikaans difficult, and extra lessons can be the best option to help them. One of the factors that affect the learning ability of any child is the pupil to teacher ratio, or in other words the number of pupils to a class. In South Africa this is 40 to 1 on average. This is extremely high compared with many first world countries, and inevitably there are going to be learners who need extra Afrikaans lessons. This is largely due to the fact that in such large classes it is very difficult for a teacher to give learners the individual attention they need. Traditionally extra lessons have been given by the teacher in question, but this is not always possible, and this is where a company such as ours comes into the equation.

During the extra Afrikaans lessons the Afrikaans tutor will try to give the learner as much exposure to the language as possible. This ensures that the problem areas are addressed with a holistic approach as the Afrikaans tutor not only focuses on vocabulary and grammar but the language as whole. The tutor will have been selected by Hire Education only after showing their ability to understand and teach the work as well as to assess the reasons why a particular learner needs those extra lessons.
